Chapter 6 tells how to add furniture models, giving you some Internet addresses where you can get reference images to use.

Chapters 9, 10, 11 and 12 deal with rendering and lighting, teaching you things like UV mapping (attach a texture to particular portions of a 3D mesh), volumetric shadows, and radiosity.

Excellent resource for storytellers

Living Proof is an excellent resource for both advocacy organizations and individuals sharing their own personal story. As a nonprofit administrator, I've ordered a copy for our organization as a reference for those of us who meet with the media or present to community groups. As a survivor of domestic violence who has publicly shared my story, I've found the book helpful in guiding me to shape my narrative for different types of audiences and occasions. This is a very practical book that will walk you through a number of exercises to hone your story. The authors' tone is friendly and conversational and they include a variety of anecdotes and advice from advocates in different fields.

I’ve used Living Proof to teach a college public speaking class, and the students really appreciate relating to the thoughtful content and developing their stories, and the stories of others, for informative, persuasive, and commemorative purposes. The examples are real-world and the exercises are easy and inspirational. Very good discussion of crafting messages, being deliberate yet authentic in your telling, and considering audience and advocacy. I'll definitely continue to use this book.

Good story. DON'T buy it.

This is good, but it contains chapters of a bigger story, which are all in the "Infinity" collection.

Don't buy this. Buy the bigger collection instead. I bought this, then bought the bigger volume since I felt like I was missing a few things, and then gave this one to a friend. Infinity was a big, complicated story, but it was a good purchase, and I'm glad I've got that instead of just this.

Not Bendis's greatest work

I really could have done without the flashback stories where Nick Fury formed an Avengers team that included Sabretooth and Kraven the Hunter back at the end of WWII. Bendis was giving back story to the main plot that involved Luke Cage's team, but that could have been accomplished by using the Howling Commandos or by having a team that wasn't called the Avengers. That just seemed a little annoying to me. And I hated the scene were Namora has a whale jump out of the ocean to squash bad guys. You know what happens to a whale if it's on land? It flops around and dies. Yeah he'll probably squash some bad guys in the process, but he'll squash everything else as well, and that's hardly the most effective way to win a fight.

I probably would have enjoyed this more if Bendis had stuck to the modern Avengers and spent less (or no) time on pointless flashbacks.

A stretch of the series that isn't so special

This second massive collection of Brian Michael Bendis' New Avengers finds the series beginning a stretch that was far from the series' best (and would continue until the end of Civil War). Featured in this collection is new member Ronin, recruited by Captain America, whose identity actually turned out to be a bit of a surprise. Also happening in these pages is the revelation of just how Spider-Woman got her powers back, and just who she has been secretly working for. The latter part of this collection bridges events between the aftermath of House of M and sets up the beginning of Civil War, as this also marks the last time that the team is really together as a whole. Suplemental issues are included as well, including an annual and the opening of Giant-Size Spider-Woman, but as I said before, this just isn't the best of New Avengers. There is excellent artwork throughout however from a variety of talent, including David Finch, Mike Deodato, Frank Cho, and more besides, but this is far from Bendis' best work on the series. All in all, if you don't already own any of the single hardcovers or TPB's of New Avengers and want to take on the series, these deluxe editions are worth picking up, especially considering how much better the series does end up getting.

choppy and poorly constructed

I read the two previous novels in this series and. although the first was decent, the second went downhill. Not sure why I stuck with the series (free on kindle unlimited?) but ugh. What a waste. Crap dialogue, plot holes galore and feels like it was written in a week on a cocktail napkin.

Do Not Miss This One

I have read the two previous books in this trilogy and found them to be page turners. I was looking forward to the third book but was also a bit sceptical. After all, how much more thrilling could it get? I was so engrossed in this book that I was literally unable to stop reading it. If my Kindle Fire ran out of juice I switched to my other Kindle to continue reading. I could not wait for the Fire to recharge. As a former English teacher and avid reader since the age of seven I encourage Victor Mathos to keep writing. I will keep buying and reading his books!

Not a good exit...

I have read the trilogy. Thoroughly enjoyed the first two books. This last book was, putting it mildly, AWFUL. The author did a great job in the first two books - hard to believe that the same person wrote this last one. I couldn't even finish it.

With the hundreds of books I poured through at the library. This one is a hand holding, step by step guide that shows you how to talk, (relate your accomplishments as a story -people remember stories-have hooks to the stories). It helps you realize how to "sell yourself through accomplishments", and ways to show how you will benefit the organization (which is after all why they are hiring). It also gives indepth advice on attitude and personality, avoiding negative questions and salary negotiations. Complete and concrete advice. -An investment in your future.

Excellent tool for job seeker

As for a new graduate, I blew out my first several interviews. People keep telling me it's normal and that's how you learn the expereince. When asking their advice, they said you can't predict the question they're going to ask you, so just relax and try your best. Well...that's only half true and not help me too much to get the job. I am glad that I stopped lying to myself, finding excuses not to prepare interviews and bought this book. I bought five interview reference books and this is the best one among all. It helps you build up your confidence and really let you feel you're going to A's all the questions during the interview, which is true. It's the tool that helps you not only prepare the interview but also negotiate salary. (plus research organization) I followed all the steps and got the offer right away. (Amazing! too soon to believe) And also increased 3,000 more on my starting salary. (I know I can gain more according to the instruction in the book, but I am satisfied with the result since this is my first job.) This is the first time I write review for a book. To express the appreciation to the author, I do recommend all the job seeker, no matter you are new graduate or expereinced, to read this book. The book covers all aspects. Good luck!! (This is also important. =))
