Very Good
By Amazon Customer
This was a very interesting book about King George VI. I wanted to read more about him after seeing the movie "The King's Speech" and found this book. The only thing I would recommend is making notes of the people mentioned and their relationship to the King as there are so many people mentioned as having impact on King George VI that it was very difficult to keep track of everyone.

I would definately recommend this biography to anyone interested in King George VI and/or the royal family.

YOU CAN OUTSHINE DAVID,STAMMER AND ALL
By ANDREA
And turn out to be a Knight in shining armour for people in the end. I am NOT a person who reads Royal Biographies at all but since The King's Speech came out I have read a couple. And this by far is the BEST Biography about King George VI, It's FANTASTIC slow going but FANTASTIC. By the time I finished the book it makes you wonder what would have happened IF David had NOT abdicated the thrown when he did and the thoughts I have had about this are VERY CHILLING to even think about.

He Never Gave Up
By Tina
I knew this story long before The King's Speech hit the theaters. I think Sarah Bradford did an excellent job in telling the story of the man, not the disability. George VI kept proposing until his love said yes, he kept working with his therapist until he could manage public speeches. Lovely read, and well done.
