Loved it!

Nathan is a wounded warrior, and he is using alcohol and sex to medicate. A call from a friend lands him a job with his stunt company, the Renegades. Rachel, the office manager of the Renegades is looking for a one nightstand to help her to get over her boyfriend’s betrayal. The two meet at the airport and have a steamy one nightstand. Needless to say Rachel is not too happy when she leans Nathan is now a part of the Renegades himself. Wow what a wonderful read, the story is wonderful kept me glued to my Kindle. These two are sexy and passionate a certainly plan to enjoy the rest of this series.

If you buy nothing else this summer, this is the book and series for you.

So, I went into this book with half of me thinking, “No way can Skye meet or top the previous books” and the other half listening to my friends singing its praises. But, I should have listened to both halves, because not only did it live up to the hype, but also meet my high standards of a 5-star read. In short, it was awesome. From the minute Ryker and Rachel met, it was a non-stop rollercoaster of ups and downs as Rachel tried to push him away and Ryker pulled her right back into his bed, or the beach, or the shower, all while dealing with their own side issues that were affecting their lives. All of the characters were well written, the plot never had a dull moment, and the sexy times were once again original and so very, very hot. If you buy nothing else this summer, this is the book and series for you.

Skye Jordan has done it again

I'm a sucker for a wounded military hero and Nathan Ryker had me from the beginning of the book. I loved the story between Nathan and Rachel.

Nathan and Rachel had immediate chemistry from their first phone call to their last kiss. Their time in between was pretty hot and steamy too!

Despite trying to convince themselves that their relationship was only about fulfilling a physical need, they both ended up emotionally involved. Both were trying to overcome a loss and find comfort in each other, even though their time was limited.

Looking forward to read more about the Renegades.

Well done and highly useful

I was not one to make textbooks part of my medical school experience as many of them were bland, uninspired, and just did not hold my attention that well. This little gem, however, is very nicely done on several different levels. First, with regard to the first reviewer's negative thoughts on image quality, I truly beg to differ. I have seen a number of different histology texts and do not understand how any of the EMs are of low quality. Similarly, the contrast and light levels of H&E stained sections are sharp, well-focused, and certaintly representative of what is seen under the microscope. Just as importantly, though, the well-organized flow of the tissue types, image descriptions and labeling, and use summarizing tables are well done. I also find the constant attention to clinical correlation refreshing; it helps students to remember the relevance of histology to clinical medicine, which is all too easily forgotten sometimes due to the intensity of the first year of medical school. I would certainly recommend this book to any of my peer physicians and medical students with whom I came in contact.

Innovative, comprehensive,and user friendly

I found the atlas to be quite innovative in its organization. One major difference between other histology atlases that stood out was the labeling of illustrations and micrographs. They are extremely easy to grasp due to the fact that the labels are "complete"(no numbers or letters, just full names). Most photos have both low magnification and high power insets. In addition, the clinical correlations, synopsis, and summary tables at the end of each chapter are very helpful. With the access code included in the book, an electronic version with an interactive labeling atlas and text search make this histology atlas unique and advantageous over other atlases.

I am a second year medical student. I think the organization of this book is excellent. It was very easy to locate specific topics. This makes it a wonderful choice for a reference and review tool for the step or board exams. I think the first chapter of definitions and terms is wonderful. The book we used in class did not have this and I really wish it had. There are picture examples of every clinical correlation which makes it much easier to understand the difference in pathological and normal specimens. I like that this book includes a huge number of clinical correlations. The synopsis of pathological and clinical terms at the end of each chapter is fantastic. The charts included in this book are especially useful. They provide clear, concise descriptions of the cells and tissues being addressed. The EM pictures are not great but they are still useful in identifying structures. I plan to use this book to study for the USMLE step exam and I would highly recommend it for any one taking a histology course.

A great library pick. My second and third grade student really responded well to this book. This is a fun way to talk about book care once student s have graduated from Mr. Wiggle and Penelope Popper. Its a good refresher to use near Halloween as well, fun and lighthearted.

This book is negative & redundant at times. I believe most everything about Yoko Ono. How John could not see beyond this gold digging narcissistic fool i do not know. Its beyond comprehension. She systematically goes through one man after the other to increase her notoriety & wealth. Her art always fell short of any delivery. It was fake & unimpressive. That i knew before i read this book. And at the same time she impresses John as a she man. As he said like talking to a man but a womans body. John was a violent man with demons he spent his while life trying to extinguish with drugs & material wealth. It always brought him more pain. The debths of his angst is expressed in depth in this book. The question is how much can be believed. ! Theres alot of truth here but the bleak nature of the entire book left me sad for his lost life thinking had he lived he couldhave escaped his pain & the talons of YoKo Ono. She lives on with her lies. Still using Johns name to make money. The MYTH of John & Yoko was clear to me before i read this book. It really made it clear what she was & how John was & the depths of his suffering.

I've owned this book for years and have read it through several times. When I first read it years ago I thought it was amazing but too negative. Out of the blue I got interested in the Beatles again and got "Let it be...naked" and then "Revolver" and then "Beatles for Sale." All excellent and I would recommend naked over the original. To me the Beatles were the most important people culturally from the sixties and Lennon created the Beatles. Listening to full albums of the early records Lennon is in charge and was the guiding spirit in the band. (not to take anything away from McCartney, who wrote masterpiece after masterpiece).

While recently re-reading this book I came to see this as one of the best biographys ever written. Very much worthy of Lennon's importance. Warts and all, it made Lennon an even more fascinating figure. There are complements scattered in the book, it is just some of the revelations over shadow them. (one reviewer said at times Goldman would write about how witty, brilliant etc. Lennon was, then how zombie like etc., but Lennon was one of the biggest substance abusers of the period. Everyone thinks of him as being a pot smoking acid head flower child but he was also quite a heroin addict etc.

Anyway, older when re - reading this book, and more objective, I came away accepting and acknowledging some of the negative points but also thinking Lennon was one the most fascinating characters ever. (I also think I understand Yoko better and she too is a very interesting person.)
