Helped My Friend Get Pregnant Fast!

Several months ago, a close friend of mine confided in me that she was having a lot of problems conceiving a baby. I wanted to find a solution for her, so I headed online to research on my own. After reading the wonderful reviews, I purchased this book, really hoping that it would help teach her how to get pregnant fast. We read it together and I was immensely impressed at how practical and straightforward the advice and instructions were. Nearly everything suggested was natural and easy to apply. I especially liked the herbal remedy section, as I am a self-proclaimed health junkie! I am so happy to say that my friend, who had tried to conceive for nearly a year without success, is now 8 weeks pregnant! This book was definitely worth buying, and my friend and I have recommended it already to another girl we know who wants to start a family!

Great Tips!

There are great steps in this book Get pregnant in 3 months-The How to Get Pregnant Fast Proven Program. The author lets you know that you must follow all 13 steps for help getting pregnant and always see your gynecologist or doctor before beginning any program.
What I took away from this book is to get your sleep and also cutting down on the stress, learn how to meditate. There are certain herbs and vitamins and if you are taking medications they also can work against you.
I liked that the author pointed out make sure you want to get pregnant because having a baby is not a whim or a want. Please take it seriously!
Great book for responsible, want to be parents, a must read!

A Wonderful Resource for Those Trying to Get Pregnant

I purchased this book for myself because I have been trying to get pregnant without success. Right from the very beginning I closely identified with Diana's plight of being unable to conceive. Her support and encouragement really helped give me confidence on how to get pregnant fast.

The book is based around 13 sets of instructions and steps to show you how to get pregnant fast. At first I was skeptical, after having tried what I thought was everything. But Diana's book is knowledgeable and contains many techniques and tricks that I hadn't even thought of. For example, I never even considered meditation or yoga exercises as a way to help me get pregnant.
Diana gives examples of specific poses that really stimulate your body's fertility, which is very helpful when other approaches aren't helping.

Overall, this book is really helpful and explains the entire process of getting pregnant from start to finish. I found it very comprehensive and I think it is a wonderful guide for anyone trying to get pregnant. I'd highly recommend it to anyone out there looking to conceive a child!

About the Author
Pearl S. Buck (1892–1973) was a bestselling and Nobel Prize–winning author. Her classic novel The Good Earth (1931) was awarded a Pulitzer Prize and William Dean Howells Medal. Born in Hillsboro, West Virginia, Buck was the daughter of missionaries and spent much of the first half of her life in China, where many of her books are set. In 1934, civil unrest in China forced Buck back to the United States. Throughout her life she worked in support of civil and women’s rights, and established Welcome House, the first international, interracial adoption agency. In addition to her highly acclaimed novels, Buck wrote two memoirs and biographies of both of her parents. For her body of work, Buck�received�the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1938, the first American woman to have done so. She died in Vermont.�

Pearl Buck's genuine humanity bridges east west gap-incredib

Pearl Buck sensitively bridges the gap between the US and Asia as she explains her life's experience living in China during the Communist Revolution where the ideas for her books were born. An incredible book for women ! Pearl is like a pillar of strenghth. As a Woman, mother, and Christian; she finds hope and faith and compassion in times of dispair. Her reports and biography are intellectually satisfying. A must read...perfect snowy day book.

A Nobel Prize winning author's memoirs

Not a chronological autobiography, "My Several Worlds" is exactly that--Pearl Buck, born in the US, raised in China, tells us about her life abroad and at home. Her missionary parents took her to China as a small child, and she traveled the world later. She only hints at very personal and painful events: the birth of her daughter with PKU (Phenylketonuria, a disease that causes retardation if not controlled with a special diet--unknown at that time) and a divorce as well. We do learn about the founding of her Amerasian orphan adoption agency, placing the unwanted children of Korean women and American soldiers, about her Nobel Prize for "The Good Earth", and about life in China from the end of the Boxer Rebellion and the reign of the Dowager Empress Tzu Hsi to the republic of Chiang Kai-Shek before the Communist Revolution.
If you have read any of Pearl Buck's novels, this is a must-read to provide valuable background for the author's life.

Pearl S Buck is a woman of our times

Just finished Pearl S. Buck's memoir "My Several Worlds," written in 1954. It is one of those books where you learn something on every page.

Mrs. Buck was very progressive in her views on a variety of topics, from the trivial -- for example, kids are over-scheduled these days and aren't given time for creative play (this written in 1954) and we should be eating more whole grains, to the history-altering: the USA should stay out of Indo-china (yep, 1954 again). Her understanding of the American psyche and how it could only lead to missed opportunities with China and Asia is spot-on (as it did). Her plea for acceptance of mixed-race and out-of wedlock children is heart-breaking as some progress has been made but oh the emotional pain.

Some stuff makes you wince (the military is a cause of much homosexuality because the sexes need to mix) but overall she is a very modern thinker.

Her writing is not easy reading. I think it is a bit dense for today's tastes but if you slow down it is to be savored.

From reading a review of the new cultural biographyPearl S. Buck: A Cultural Biography of Mrs. Buck I was sad to learn that she was VERY unhappy in the first marriage, her father was a misogynistic jerk and that she suffered from depression. You would not know this from "My Several Worlds." You would think she was the most positive person on earth. You learn through clues that her daughter is developmentally disabled ("the child did not grow") and that her first marriage was not happy. i guess people were polite back then and did not share their troubles with the world (and cable networks didn't exist with so much airtime to fill.)

I am so glad I read this book. I love her and admire her for her contribution to humanity. I wish there were more people like her! Read this book and enjoy!!!

Author Deke Castleman has been in the gambling media business for more than 15 years and the travel-publishing business for 25. He's written numerous editions of Las Vegas and Nevada travel guides and, as senior editor at Las Vegas-based Huntington Press, he's edited upwards of 40 books on gambling and co-written more than 150 issues of Las Vegas' most respected gambling newsletter, the Las Vegas Advisor. I love gambling and think that I was born with the gambling gene. This book attracted me at first because I wanted to get the chance to see what it was like to be a "whale" (the biggest gamblers with the largest bankrolls) and work with a whale.

Steve Cyr is known to be the best casino host in Las Vegas. In this book you will get the chance to see what the life of a revered casino host is like and that nothing is off-limits to a Vegas "Whale". You will also understand what a cut-throat type of business casino hosting is.

Shocking and eye opening in some spots--this book is a fast and fun read. If gambling is not in your blood, it may not be as enjoyable a book as you might like.

Wondered what it was like to be a high roller?

If you want to read about Las Vegas's highest of high rollers, "whales," and what a casino will do to keep them happy, then this book won't fail to satisfy. Along the way you'll meet Steve Cyr, a young Turk casino host. A host is the casino's employee whose job it is to look after the big players and to keep them happy and, more importantly, keep them coming back and gambling more and more.

Much of the book is built around Cyr and his style (his style can be both inspiring and annoying). Cyr is about 70% time-share/condo salesperson and 35% cruise director and 10% Kato Kaelin (yeah, he's 115%). But the book is more than Cyr and his successful effort to modernize the way casinos market to high rollers. You'll meet some of the whales themselves. You'll find out about the mini-palaces casinos have built just for them. And one subject usually kept off the record is covered: do casinos provide sex to their top players?

The book is not a superficial People Magazine of famous celebs who frequent Vegas. It's about both sides of the table, the whales and the casinos and hosts who harpoon them. The dark side of gambling is offered up as gamblers spin downward out of control, losing millions. There are plenty of details and that's what really distinguishes this book. Other books have touched on the fantasy of the high roller's life. Such as Lifestyles of a High Roller, Anderson's Burning the Tables, Rubin's Comp City and a couple specials on the Travel Channel, but nothing has offered up the depth or detail of Whale Hunt.

The only thing missing from the book is more.
